Samsung recently took action after images of the Galaxy S25+ were leaked, resulting in the termination of multiple employees.
The leak occurred when a tweet posted by @Jukanlosreve displayed live images of the device.
These photos, which were not properly obscured, revealed the deviceโs identification number, allowing Samsung to trace the source of the leak back to the employees involved.
Typically, companies like Samsung go to great lengths to prevent leaks, as they believe such early reveals detract from the excitement surrounding official product announcements.
In this case, the leak happened just one day before renowned leaker Evan Blass shared images of the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S25+, along with the date for the Unpacked event, set for January 22, 2025.
While leaks can sometimes generate buzz, manufacturers prefer to control the release of information and ensure that product unveilings are part of a carefully planned marketing strategy.
