Homey has launched a new smart home hub, the Homey Pro Mini, offering an affordable option for users who want to control their smart devices.

The Pro Mini is a smaller, cheaper version of the $400 Homey Pro, priced at $199 in the US and Canada. It will be available in Europe in 2025, with shipping starting in April.

The Pro Mini supports Ethernet, Zigbee, Thread, and Matter, and runs on Homey OS, the same software as the Pro.

While it cuts back on some features like Z-Wave, BLE, and IR, users can add these by connecting the Pro Mini to a Homey Bridge for $69.

The Pro Mini is designed to manage up to 20 smart devices, making it ideal for most users. For more complex setups, Homey recommends upgrading to the Pro. Homey claims over 1,000 device integrations, including brands like Ikea, Sonos, and Philips Hue.

Homey, now owned by LG, aims to make smart home automation easier by allowing users to control devices locally, without relying on cloud services.

With new features like Home Energy Management and updated dashboards, Homey is becoming a key player in the smart home market.
