Threads Post Scheduling

Meta’s social network, Threads, is experimenting with a new feature allowing users to schedule posts, according to Instagram head Adam Mosseri.

This feature, currently in testing, will not support scheduling replies.

How It Works

  • Test users will find the scheduling option in the three-dot menu in the composer.
  • Scheduled posts will appear in the drafts folder, where users can edit, delete, or reschedule them.
  • The feature aims to balance planned content creation with the platform’s focus on real-time conversations.

Development Timeline

Mosseri revealed that the feature has been in development for months. App researcher Alessandro Paluzzi had previously hinted at its progress earlier this year.

Related Updates

  • Instagram recently introduced scheduled direct messages.
  • Post scheduling for Instagram’s main feed has been available for some time.

Threads’ Growing Popularity

Mark Zuckerberg announced this week that Threads now boasts over 100 million daily active users and 300 million monthly active users.
