Meta’s social network, Threads, is experimenting with a new feature allowing users to schedule posts, according to Instagram head Adam Mosseri.
This feature, currently in testing, will not support scheduling replies.
How It Works
- Test users will find the scheduling option in the three-dot menu in the composer.
- Scheduled posts will appear in the drafts folder, where users can edit, delete, or reschedule them.
- The feature aims to balance planned content creation with the platform’s focus on real-time conversations.
Development Timeline
Mosseri revealed that the feature has been in development for months. App researcher Alessandro Paluzzi had previously hinted at its progress earlier this year.
Related Updates
- Instagram recently introduced scheduled direct messages.
- Post scheduling for Instagram’s main feed has been available for some time.
Threads’ Growing Popularity
