Solos has introduced its new AirGo Vision smart glasses, a direct competitor to Meta’s Ray-Ban smart eyewear. Priced at $299, the AirGo Vision offers a unique feature set, including integration with OpenAI’s GPT-4o AI model.
This allows the glasses to recognize and provide information about people, objects, and text seen by the camera.
The AirGo Vision can translate text, offer directions, and give detailed information about the wearer’s surroundings. It also supports integration with other AI models like Google Gemini and Anthropic’s Claude.
Solos promises that the glasses will provide users with more control over their experience, especially when it comes to privacy. The camera is housed in a swappable frame system, which can be removed for an audio-only experience.
The AirGo Vision is available in two frame styles: the larger Krypton 1 and the slimmer Krypton 2. Users can purchase the frame alone for $149, or opt for a camera frame bundle for $349.
