Oppo is preparing to launch the Find X8 Ultra, following the global release of the Find X8 and X8 Pro. According to renowned tipster Digital Chat Station, the new flagship device is codenamed Everest and is expected to debut after Lunar New Year in 2025.
The prototype reportedly features high-end specifications, including a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a 6.82-inch BOE X2 LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 2K resolution.
The Find X8 Ultra is said to have a quad-camera system, highlighted by a 50MP Sony LYT 900 primary sensor with a 1-inch optical format and a 50MP Sony IMX 882 ultra-wide sensor with a 1/1.95-inch format.
It also includes two telephoto lenses: a 50MP Sony LYT 701 with a 1/1.56-inch format and a 75mm focal length, and a 50MP Sony IMX 882 with a 1/1.95-inch format and a 150mm focal length. The dual periscope zoom system allows seamless transitions between 3x and 6x zoom and promises exceptional image quality at up to 30x zoom.
Leaks suggest the Find X8 Ultra will have a micro-quad-curved design and use a silicon-carbon battery for enhanced capacity. Despite the impressive specs, there is uncertainty about the device’s availability outside China.
A recent post from Oppo’s UK social media indicated that the Find X8 Ultra might not receive a global release, although the post was quickly deleted.
If launched internationally, the Find X8 Ultra could compete with flagship models such as the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, Honor Magic 7 Ultimate, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, and Vivo X200 Ultra. However, for now, its global availability remains unconfirmed.
