Huawei has introduced the Mate X6, a new foldable smartphone that showcases the company’s latest technological advancements.
The device stands out with its incredibly thin 4.3 mm body when unfolded and features advanced display and camera technologies.
The phone features a 7.93-inch main display with a 1-120 Hz refresh rate and a 6.45-inch cover screen. Both displays support over 1 billion colors, with the cover screen reaching 2,500 nits of peak brightness.
The camera system includes four lenses: a 50 MP main camera, a 48 MP telephoto lens, a 40 MP ultra-wide camera, and a unique hyperspectral sensor.
The phone runs on HarmonyOS Next, Huawei’s new in-house operating system with AI capabilities.
Weighing 239 grams, the Mate X6 comes with a 5,110-5,200 mAh battery and supports 66W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 7.5W reverse wireless charging.
The device is IPX8 water-resistant and features a new water drop hinge made from rocket-grade steel.
Pricing starts at CNY 12,999 (approximately $1,800), with options ranging up to a 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage model at CNY 15,999 (about $2,200). The phone is currently available in China, with no confirmation of global release.
