The Weeknd has solidified his position as a streaming giant, becoming the first artist to have 21 songs surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify.

This milestone was achieved when “Love Me Harder,” his collaboration with Ariana Grande, crossed the mark. Just two months ago, the Toronto artist held the record with 18 songs in the “Billions Club.”

Previously tied with Drake at 17 songs, The Weeknd pulled ahead with the title track from After Hours.

His billion-stream hits include fan favorites like “Blinding Lights,” “Save Your Tears,” and “The Hills.” “Blinding Lights” continues to dominate as Spotify’s most-streamed song of all time, boasting over 4.5 billion streams.

In September, The Weeknd announced his upcoming album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, set to follow his 2022 project Dawn FM.

This release will complete the trilogy that began with After Hours in 2020, further cementing his legacy in contemporary music.
