A new leak suggests Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra will cost more than its predecessor. The manufacturing costs may rise by at least $110 per device.
If Samsung passes these costs to buyers, the phone’s price could exceed $1,400, up from the S24 Ultra’s $1,299.99. This would make it pricier than Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max ($1,199) and Google’s Pixel 9 Pro XL ($1,099).
The main reason for higher costs is the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which costs 25-30% more than the previous version. Each chip costs around $200.
The phone may get a new M14 display to fix previous screen issues and offer better brightness. However, Samsung might keep the current M13 display to save money.
A new 50MP ultrawide camera, replacing the old 12MP sensor, could also add to the costs.
