Samsung is rolling out its One UI 6 update (based on Wear OS 5) to older Galaxy Watch models, bringing significant improvements in both UI design and health features.
The update, which began today, will be available for the following watches:
- Galaxy Watch6
- Galaxy Watch6 Classic
- Galaxy Watch5
- Galaxy Watch5 Pro
- Galaxy Watch4
- Galaxy Watch4 Classic
- Galaxy Watch FE
New features include FDA-authorized Sleep Apnea detection and a sleep-tracking AI algorithm that monitors movement, sleep latency, and heart and respiratory rates. The update also introduces the Race mode for comparing running and cycling performance with past data, as well as personalized workout routines.
On the UI front, Samsung has added fresh minimalist watch faces and more data-heavy options like the Info Board. AI-powered message suggestions will help streamline responses, while new gestures allow users to answer calls, dismiss alarms, and take photos on their watch with a simple double pinch when paired with a Galaxy phone.
This update brings a more advanced and tailored experience for Galaxy Watch users, blending useful new health features with a more user-friendly interface.
