Apple has introduced iOS 18, offering features that make switching from Android to iPhone smoother. The new update brings several key improvements that Android users will find familiar.

Home screen customization is now possible on iPhones. Users can arrange app icons freely, use dark mode, and adjust icon sizes. This feature mirrors Android’s long-standing customization options.

Messaging gets a significant upgrade with RCS support. Users can now send high-resolution media, use read receipts, and enjoy better emoji reactions when texting between Android and iPhone.

Apple Intelligence introduces new writing tools in iMessage. Users can now draft messages in different tones like “friendly” or “professional” with AI assistance.

Photo editing receives a boost with the new Clean Up tool. Similar to Android’s Object eraser, users can now remove unwanted elements from pictures with a few taps.

Voice memo transcription is another new feature. Users can now easily convert voice recordings to text and search through them, a capability previously found on Android devices.

The update signals a growing convergence between iOS and Android platforms. Apple seems focused on making its ecosystem more appealing to users considering a switch from Android.
