Google is adding new AI features to Google Maps. Users can now ask questions like “what can I do in Boston at night?” and get personal suggestions.

The AI system, called Gemini, will help find places to eat, visit, and park. It will also give better walking directions.

Waze, which Google owns, will also get AI updates. Users can now report traffic problems by speaking naturally instead of clicking buttons.

Google Maps has over 2 billion monthly users, but Apple Maps is becoming a stronger competitor. Apple is improving its maps with AI features, especially for car displays.

The changes aim to make both Google apps easier to use and more helpful for travelers.
