YouTube for Google TV Adds One-Click Subscribe Button

The YouTube app for Android TV and Google TV now makes subscribing easier with a new, prominent subscribe button directly in the video player interface.

Previously, users had to navigate through multiple steps to subscribe to a channel mid-video, but now the button appears right in the player UI, simplifying the process.

This change, spotted on devices like the Google TV Streamer and Hisense smart TVs, only shows the subscribe button when watching videos from channels the user hasn’t already subscribed to.

Additionally, the app has restored individual like and dislike buttons after briefly combining them into a single tap option.

These updates aim to enhance the viewing experience on larger screens, ensuring quick interactions without crowding the video display.
