Al Jazeera has revealed a leaked Israeli military document that lists nearly 30,000 Air Force pilots and staff allegedly involved in airstrike operations in Gaza over the past two years. The report, aired on What is Hidden is Greater on October 20, has triggered global outrage and renewed demands for accountability.

The document, which has not yet been independently verified, reportedly includes names and roles of personnel linked to Israeli air operations since October 2023. According to Palestinian officials, these strikes have killed more than 43,000 people, mostly civilians. UN reports identify airstrikes as the main cause of civilian deaths and widespread damage to Gaza’s hospitals, schools, and homes.

The leak comes as the United States mediates a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian factions. Both sides have accused each other of violations, and the new revelations are raising pressure for international investigations.

Palestinian leaders have urged the International Criminal Court to investigate the individuals named in the list. They say those responsible for civilian deaths must face justice. Israel has not commented on the leak but has consistently denied targeting civilians, claiming its operations focus on militants and comply with international law.

Human rights groups say the leaked document could be a turning point. “If verified, this could open a path to justice for Gaza’s victims,” said Sarah Mahmoud from the Gaza-based Center for Human Rights. “The world cannot ignore this level of evidence.”

The U.S. State Department declined to comment directly on the report, stating only that it remains focused on maintaining the ceasefire and supporting humanitarian aid.

Experts say the document may have been obtained through a cyber breach of Israeli military systems. Al Jazeera has not disclosed its source, citing the need to protect those involved.

The United Nations has called for an independent investigation into the Gaza bombings. Meanwhile, social media users worldwide are sharing the story with hashtags like #GazaAirstrikes and #AccountabilityNow, calling for transparency and justice.

This leak could have major consequences for Israel’s military and diplomatic standing. It also underscores the growing role of investigative journalism in uncovering the realities of modern warfare and its human cost.
