Gamers can expect a packed release calendar in 2026, with major titles across action, horror, and adventure genres launching on platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.

    Grand Theft Auto 6

Rockstar Games will release GTA 6 on May 26, 2026, following a delay. Set in modern-day Vice City, the game follows protagonists Lucia and Jason in a Bonnie-and-Clyde-style story. The open-world epic promises around 75 hours of gameplay and sharp satire of 2020s American culture. PC players will receive the game at a later date.

    Fable

Playground Games brings back the beloved RPG series with a reboot launching in 2026 for Xbox Series X/S and PC. The game returns to the world of Albion with humor, choice-driven stories, and updated mechanics. Early footage shows exploration, combat, and the series’ signature chicken-kicking antics.

    Wolverine

Insomniac Games’ Wolverine will arrive on PS5 in Fall 2026. Set in Madripoor, the Marvel action game features brutal combat and draws heavily from comic book lore. More details are expected in spring 2026.

    Resident Evil Requiem

Capcom’s ninth main entry in the franchise releases on February 27, 2026. Players control FBI agent Grace Ashcroft in a tense investigation set in a devastated Raccoon City. Built on the RE Engine with ray tracing, the game offers both first- and third-person modes.

    007: First Light

IO Interactive explores James Bond’s origins in 007: First Light, launching March 27, 2026. Players guide a 26-year-old Bond through stealth missions, gadgets, and driving sequences as he earns his license to kill.

    Halloween The Game

This horror title arrives on September 8, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Players either survive or stalk as Michael Myers in a mix of single-player and multiplayer modes, with film director John Carpenter as executive producer.

    Invincible VS

Based on the animated series, this 3v3 fighting game features characters like Omni-Man and Atom Eve. It offers cinematic story and online multiplayer and launches in 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

    Star Wars: Zero Company

Respawn Entertainment will release this single-player, turn-based tactics game in 2026. Set during the Clone Wars, it follows an elite squad battling a galaxy-wide threat.

    Marvel ‘43: Rise of HYDRA

Skydance New Media’s WWII adventure features Captain America and Azzuri, the original Black Panther. The game launches in early 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

    Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream

Nintendo revives its quirky life-simulation series in Spring 2026 for Switch 2. Players create Mii characters, build relationships, and explore a new island setting.

Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

Arriving in 2026, this open-world adventure lets players control Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and more. Co-op play, Batmobile driving, and character skins from comics and films add to the experience.

With blockbuster releases like GTA 6, Fable, and Resident Evil Requiem, 2026 is shaping up to be one of the biggest years in gaming history. Dates may shift, but the lineup promises something for every type of player.
