Xiaomi has begun rolling out the December 2024 security update, focusing on system security and stability improvements.

The update introduces patches for recent Android security vulnerabilities, ensuring smoother performance and enhanced reliability for users.

The update is available for several Xiaomi devices, including the Xiaomi Pad 5 and Xiaomi Pad 6. The Xiaomi Pad 5, in India, is receiving the update with build version OS1.0.13.0.TKXINXM, while the Xiaomi Pad 6 in China gets version OS1.0.13.0.UMZCNXM.

The rollout is phased, with more devices expected to receive the update in the coming weeks. Users can manually check for updates by going to Settings > System Update.

For those who haven’t received the update, Xiaomi offers a workaround. By downloading the HyperOS Enhancer app from the Google Play Store, users can check for and download the latest update manually.

The update is a step forward in improving device performance and security, with Xiaomi gradually expanding its availability across regions.
