Xiaomi is set to release its new HyperOS 2.2 update for more than 40 smartphones and tablets around the world. This major software update will reach POCO, Redmi, and Xiaomi Pad devices. Users in Europe, India, Indonesia, Russia, Taiwan, and other regions will get the update within the next seven days.
Xiaomi has already finished beta testing, meaning the full release is very close. The European market will receive the update first, followed by global and regional versions for other countries.
Popular models like the POCO F7 Pro, POCO X7 Pro, Redmi 13C, and K70 Ultra will get the update early. Even Xiaomi tablets like the Pad 6S Pro 12.4 and Redmi Pad Pro 5G will receive it soon.
What’s New in HyperOS 2.2?
HyperOS 2.2 brings smoother system animations, better desktop effects, and improved multitasking. A new feature called HyperConnect allows voice chats without an internet connection.
The camera app now has a fresh look with better presets, more watermark options, and a stronger Pro Mode for photographers. Xiaomi also added new lock screen effects, fingerprint animations, and upgrades for accessibility, including better TalkBack support.
Release Timeline
Mi Pilot testers already have HyperOS 2.2. Xiaomi will soon release it for almost 100 devices as it prepares for the next big move—HyperOS 3 and Android 15.
For users who want the latest Xiaomi apps and updates, Xiaomi recommends the HyperOS Downloader and MemeOS Enhancer from the Play Store.
