Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of its new foldable phone, the MIX Flip 2, set for next week. The announcement came from Xiaomi President Lu Weibing, who highlighted the company’s progress in foldable technology.

The MIX Flip 2 is a major upgrade over previous models. It features a 6.85-inch 1.5K LTPO foldable display and a larger external screen. The battery is bigger than expected, around 5050 to 5100mAh, and supports 50W wireless charging.

For cameras, Xiaomi partners again with Leica, offering a dual 50MP setup. The main sensor is 1/1.5-inch, paired with a 1/2.76-inch ultra-wide lens, making it a strong choice for a flip-style foldable.

Other features include IPX8 water resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, full NFC support, and the new HyperOS software pre-installed.

Pre-orders are now open on Xiaomi Mall. Pricing is not official yet, but Xiaomi aims to compete in the premium foldable phone market with this model. The MIX Flip 2 could set a new standard for Xiaomi’s foldables.
