Xiaomi has announced that it will end software support for seven of its devices in April 2025.
This means these devices will no longer receive security updates or new features, though they will continue to function.
Devices Reaching End of Support
The following Xiaomi devices will no longer receive updates after April 2025:
- POCO F4 GT
- Redmi K50 Gaming
- Redmi 10A
- Redmi Note 11S
- Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G
- Xiaomi 11i
- Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge
Final Software Updates
Before support ends, some devices will receive their last major software update:
- POCO F4 GT & Redmi K50 Gaming: Will get Android 14-based HyperOS 2 as their final update.
- Other devices: Will remain on older Android versions such as Android 13-based HyperOS 1 or MIUI 12.5 (Redmi 10A).
What This Means for Users
Once these devices reach end-of-life (EOL) status, they will:
- Stop receiving security updates, making them vulnerable to security risks.
- Lose access to new Android and HyperOS features.
- Face compatibility issues with newer apps over time.
Users of these devices may want to consider upgrading to a newer model with longer software support.
Xiaomi’s 2025 lineup offers newer models with extended update cycles for better security and performance.
