Xiaomi is preparing to release its major software update, HyperOS 2.3, built on the new Android 16 platform.

The update focuses primarily on enhanced system security and improved performance while building on the foundation established by HyperOS 2.2.

The most notable improvements in HyperOS 2.3 include advanced encryption protocols, stronger app permission controls, enhanced biometric authentication, and reinforced system protection against malicious apps. These changes aim to safeguard user data and provide a more stable Android experience.

HyperOS 2.3 will only be available on devices eligible for the Android 16 upgrade. This selective rollout includes flagship smartphones, select mid-range devices with sufficient hardware, and compatible tablets and smart devices within Xiaomi’s ecosystem.

Although Android 16 does not introduce Xiaomi-specific features, users will benefit from full Google service integration and standard security updates.

HyperOS 2.3 retains all the customization and interface improvements of version 2.2 while adding system-level enhancements brought by Android 16.

To check if a device qualifies for the HyperOS 2.3 update, users can use the MemeOS Enhancer app available on the Play Store. The app displays update eligibility, hidden features, and update access directly from the device.

Xiaomi continues to prioritize a secure and smooth user experience with this new release, reinforcing its commitment to staying current with Android advancements.
