Xiaomi is set to end software support for six of its popular devices in 2026, marking the official end-of-life (EOL) for these smartphones. Users of the affected models will no longer receive security patches or system updates after the specified dates.

The devices reaching EOL include flagship models Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro, whose support is scheduled to end in March 2026. These phones will receive HyperOS 3 as their final major operating system update. The Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro will reach the end of their support in October 2026.

Mid-range and entry-level devices are also affected. The Redmi Note 12 5G will stop receiving updates in March 2026, completing its software cycle under HyperOS 2, while the budget Redmi 12C will reach EOL in early 2026.

Xiaomi Devices Ending Support in 2026 – At a Glance

  • Xiaomi 12 – EOL: March 2026 | Final OS: HyperOS 3
  • Xiaomi 12 Pro – EOL: March 2026 | Final OS: HyperOS 3
  • Xiaomi 12T – EOL: October 2026 | Final OS: HyperOS 3
  • Xiaomi 12T Pro – EOL: October 2026 | Final OS: HyperOS 3
  • Redmi Note 12 5G – EOL: March 2026 | Final OS: HyperOS 2
  • Redmi 12C – EOL: Early 2026 | Final OS: HyperOS 2

Xiaomi’s EOL policy is part of the normal software life cycle, which ensures devices are protected against security threats while receiving feature upgrades. After the EOL date, the devices will continue to function, but without new software innovations or security improvements.

For users of these devices, Xiaomi’s latest smartphones feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, offering improved performance and efficiency. Mid-range buyers may also consider new POCO models or updated devices in the Xiaomi T series.

Staying on supported devices ensures access to the latest features and keeps personal data secure.
