WME has denied claims that Ryan Reynolds pressured the agency to drop Justin Baldoni following sexual harassment lawsuits filed by Blake Lively against her It Ends With Us co-star.
In a statement, the agency clarified that Baldoniโs former agent was not present at the Deadpool & Wolverine premiere, where it was alleged the pressure occurred.
WME further stated that there was no pressure from Reynolds or Lively to sever ties with Baldoni.
This follows a lawsuit filed by Baldoni against the New York Times for $250 million, stemming from a December 21 article that mentioned Livelyโs harassment claims.
Baldoni was dropped by his agent on the same day the article was published. The controversy centers around Livelyโs sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni, who portrayed her abusive husband in It Ends With Us.
Lively also accused Baldoni of running a smear campaign to undermine her allegations.
