What Is the ‘Pink Area’? BLACKPINK’s New Website Leaves Fans Guessing

BLACKPINK created excitement among fans on Tuesday morning (July 1) with the launch of a new interactive website. The site, called “PINK AREA,” shows a colorful cartoon map of Seoul with several famous spots, such as Goyang Sports Complex, Banpo Bridge, Namsan Seoul Tower, and Sevit Island, all marked as ‘Pink Area.’ The group’s team tweeted, “Welcome to PINK AREA,” and included the dates July 4–6.

The website generated a flood of fan interest, causing slow loading speeds as many tried to explore the map. Two sites on the map—near the YG building and the Shinsegae department store—were marked with a mysterious sign: “DO NOT JUMP,” with “Not” crossed out in pink spray paint. Fans are still trying to guess what this message means.

The launch of the map follows the group’s first full group picture together in months. In a recent Instagram post, all four members—ROSÉ, LISA, JENNIE, and JISOO—linked hands to form a four-leaf clover, sparking rumors about a possible new song or project.

In May, member LISA shared that BLACKPINK has been working in the studio on new music. Their last album, Born Pink, was released in 2022, and since then, each member has focused on solo projects.

The “Pink Area” website and clues seem to be connected to BLACKPINK’s upcoming Deadline world tour. The tour starts this weekend with two shows at Goyang Stadium in South Korea on July 5 and 6. Fans think the sites on the map might be connected to special events or surprises during the first shows.

After their hometown concerts, BLACKPINK will tour North America, Europe, and Asia, with the tour ending in Singapore on November 30.

The group’s loyal fans, known as BLINKS, are sharing theories and watching closely for more hints. Many hope the “Pink Area” marks a major comeback for one of K-pop’s most popular groups.

Stay tuned for updates as BLACKPINK’s “Pink Area” era unfolds and the world tour begins.
