Channel 4’s reality show Virgin Island ended over a year ago. The series followed 12 adults who were virgins as they took an intimacy course at a Mediterranean retreat. The goal was to help them overcome anxiety around relationships and sex.
Since the show, the cast members have experienced different outcomes. Dave was the only participant to lose his virginity on the retreat.
Since then, he has dated two more women and is now in a relationship with a girlfriend he met on Hinge. Dave credits the show with helping him gain confidence.
Holly is the only other cast member to lose her virginity after the show. She told the group chat right away and started dating five months after filming.
Although she is no longer with her boyfriend, Holly says the experience helped her become a “new, improved version” of herself.
Taylor has come out as gay but remains a virgin despite trying to date. She said it is hard when others cannot make eye contact or start conversations.
Ben has gone on dates with three women and kissed one of them but has not moved further in intimacy.
Emma dated another cast member briefly but says she is not ready for a relationship yet. She continues to explore intimacy with others.
Charlotte got an ADHD diagnosis after the show and feels happier and more confident in romantic situations.
Pia opened up to her family about her painful condition, vaginismus. She reconnected with an old partner but they chose to stay friends.
Zac says he struggles with expressing his feelings and learning the skills from the show.
Jason asked fellow cast member Louise on a date. She moved to New Zealand, but they remain friends. Jason is using Hinge while he waits to see if she returns.
Louise says she is open to dating Jason despite the distance and praises his good heart.
Tom remains single and has not had any one-night stands, but therapy helped him build confidence.
Each cast member’s journey is unique. Some have found love, others are still working on themselves, but all have grown since Virgin Island ended.
