Wednesday Season 2

Wednesday Season 2 Trailer Teases Enid’s Death and a Haunting New Mystery

Netflix has released the official trailer for Season 2 of Wednesday, offering a darker and more intense return to Nevermore Academy. The series, starring Jenna Ortega as the iconic Wednesday Addams, will premiere in two parts, beginning August 6, 2025.

The new trailer opens with a haunting scene: black tears stream down Wednesday’s face as her mother, Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones), asks, “What did you see?” Wednesday replies, “Enid dies and it’s all my fault,” setting the tone for the supernatural mystery to come. A disturbing flash shows a gravestone marked for Enid Sinclair, who then appears to accuse Wednesday of causing her death.

Season 2 picks up as Wednesday returns to Nevermore Academy for a new semester. This time, she faces not only external enemies but also emotional turmoil and buried family secrets. “Secrets are the bedrock of the Addams family,” Wednesday says in the trailer. “The sooner I get answers, the sooner I can save Enid — or die trying.”

Co-creator and showrunner Miles Millar shared that the upcoming season explores new challenges for Wednesday, particularly in how she handles relationships and emotions. “She thinks she has it all under control and discovers that human interaction isn’t as easy as she thought,” he said.

Netflix’s official synopsis describes the season as one filled with “fresh foes and woes” as Wednesday navigates friendships, old rivals, and a new supernatural mystery with her usual razor-sharp wit and deadpan charm.

Returning cast members include Emma Myers, Steve Buscemi, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, and Joy Sunday. New guest stars include Lady Gaga, Thandiwe Newton, Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, and Haley Joel Osment.

The show continues to be directed by Tim Burton, Paco Cabezas, and Angela Robinson, with a large production team behind the scenes.

Ahead of its global release, the cast and creators will promote the new season through an international tour across countries including Australia, South Korea, France, Romania, and the United States.

Season 2 will be released in two parts: the first two episodes arrive August 6, and the remaining four will debut September 3, exclusively on Netflix.
