A participant from the Channel 4 reality show Virgin Island has shared which of the 12 adult virgins have had sex since the series finished.
The show, which follows 12 adults seeking therapy and exercises to help them overcome their fears about sex, ended recently with the finale airing tonight at 9 pm.
Throughout the series, only one participant, 24-year-old accountant Dave, was officially deemed ready by the show’s therapists to lose his virginity.
However, after filming wrapped, a group chat among the participants—called “Virgins and Dave”—keeps track of who has since lost their virginity. When someone does, their photo in the group picture is greyed out.
Dave was the first to be greyed out, and Holly, another participant, confirmed she has also had sex since the show ended. She said, “I messaged the chat almost as soon as it happened. I was excited to tell them.” Dave has also shared that he has been in a relationship for six months.
Other participants like Emma and Viraj have gone on dates but have not yet lost their virginity. Louise went on a date with Jason, and Zac, known for his controversial moments on the show, is still working on opening up emotionally.
Virgin Island has sparked mixed reactions due to its unique approach, including some therapists becoming intimate with the participants if they felt ready.
Despite the controversy, the show has drawn attention to important conversations around intimacy and self-confidence.
The final episodes are available on Channel 4’s website, with the last one airing tonight.
