Viewers of Virgin Island were shocked during the show’s final episode as one contestant had sex for the first time in what was described as a “marathon session.”
Accountant Dave, 28, was the only one out of the 12 contestants to lose his virginity during the show. He entered the island’s “zen den” with sex surrogate Kat, where the two became intimate.
The show, aired on Channel 4 on 27 May, follows 12 adults aged 22–30 who have never had sex. They take part in guided experiences with professional sex surrogates to better understand intimacy and connection.
During Dave’s moment, the camera cut away to scenic shots of the island while viewers could still hear what was happening. Later, Dave and Kat were shown in bed reflecting on the experience, with Dave saying he enjoyed it.
Kat said she felt good about being there for such an important moment in Dave’s life.

Since filming ended, Dave has been in a relationship for six months.

The rest of the cast haven’t had sex yet, but Emma and Viraj went on a date after the show, while Louisa has agreed to go out with Jason.
