The new sports streaming service from Fox, Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery has a name – Venu Sports. The companies announced this on Thursday.
The CEO of Venu Sports, Pete Distad, said “We are excited to introduce Venu Sports. This name captures the spirit of a new streaming home for sports fans outside of traditional TV.
He said Venu Sports is being built from the ground up to give sports fans one place to watch all live sports. It will use the latest technology.
Venu Sports is expected to launch in the United States this fall. Subscribers will be able to access sports content from Fox, Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery. This includes NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NASCAR, college sports, UFC, PGA, FIFA World Cup and more.
Viewers can get Venu Sports through a new app. They can also bundle it with Disney+, Hulu or Max streaming services.
Before launching, Venu Sports needs approval from regulators. The companies also need to finalize agreements.
Venu Sports aims to be a one-stop option for streaming live sports, similar to how Hulu provides TV shows and movies. More details on pricing and launch timing will be announced later.
