The Film Wonโt Release Before 2025
When production on Beyond the Spider-Verse was indefinitely delayed, speculation about its release grew. A Deadline report confirmed that the film wouldnโt arrive before 2025. However, rumors in September claimed that the film might not be released until 2027 due to significant creative changes.
Producers Christopher Miller and composer Daniel Pemberton have since dismissed these claims, making it easier to predict a potential release window.
Spider-Man 4 and Beyond the Spider-Verse Could Both Release in 2026
Spider-Man 4 has been officially confirmed for a July 24, 2026, release. Despite being produced by different companies, Marvel is unlikely to schedule the two Spider-Man projects too close together.
With Spider-Man 4 taking the summer slot, itโs likely that Beyond the Spider-Verse will be released around the winter holiday season, similar to Into the Spider-Verse, which performed well when released in December 2018.
The Two Spider-Man Franchises Have Little Overlap
While releasing two Spider-Man films in the same year might seem excessive, it could actually benefit both franchises.
The two films focus on different versions of Spider-Man: one on Peter Parker and the other on Miles Morales. With minimal overlap in characters and artistic style, the two films can coexist without overshadowing each other.
As long as the releases are spaced out, fans will likely embrace the abundance of Spider-Man content.
