The Trump Organisation’s T1 Phone has yet to reach customers, months after pre-orders opened. The smartphone, priced at $499, was first announced in June 2025 and marketed as a patriotic, “America-first” device for supporters.
The T1 Phone 8002 features a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen, 50MP main camera, 5000mAh battery, and runs Android 15. It also offers a fingerprint sensor, AI face unlock, and a headphone jack. Pre-orders required a $100 deposit, with the balance charged only when the phone ships.
Originally, Trump Mobile promised delivery in August 2025, then October 2025. Now, the company says the smartphone will arrive later in 2026, citing “final stages of regulatory testing” and delays caused by a government shutdown affecting the FCC.
The T1 Phone has faced scrutiny for its “Made in the USA” claims. Critics argued that producing a phone entirely in the U.S. for $499 is unrealistic due to global supply chains. Trump Mobile replaced some language on the website with phrases like “American-proud design” and “American hands are behind every device.”
The launch was also criticized for spec changes and website errors, including a screen size revision from 6.8 inches to 6.25 inches and a typo listing a “5000 mAh long life camera.”
Additionally, Trump Mobile reportedly listed refurbished Apple and Samsung phones under its T1 section in late 2025, drawing further backlash from customers and commentators.
As of January 2026, the T1 Phone remains unavailable. Customers are advised to monitor the Trump Mobile website for updates on shipping and specifications.
Despite the delays, the Trump Organisation continues to promote the T1 as a mid-tier smartphone with “American values in mind”, but its actual delivery remains uncertain.
