Trump Mobile Launches, But Cheaper and Better Plans Are Everywhere

Former President Donald Trump has launched Trump Mobile, a new prepaid phone service, but early reviews show it’s a bad deal for customers.

Trump Mobile offers one plan: $47.45 per month for unlimited calls and texts, international calling, and 20GB of high-speed 5G data.

The price appears to reference Trump’s role as the 45th and 47th President, but when it comes to value, it falls behind nearly every major competitor.

Why is Trump Mobile a bad deal? For comparison:

  • Visible (by Verizon): Unlimited 5G for $40/month
  • Cricket (by AT&T): Unlimited 5G for $40/month
  • Metro (by T-Mobile): Unlimited 5G for $40/month
  • Google Fi: 30GB of 5G for $35/month
  • Boost Mobile: 30GB of 5G for $25/month
  • Walmart Family Mobile: 20GB of 5G for $33.88/month
  • Tello: Unlimited 5G for $25/month

Even patriot-themed phone services like Patriot Mobile and PureTalk offer cheaper or better plans.

Trump Mobile doesn’t offer anything special in terms of features, perks, or price. Customers can get more data for less money from other well-known services, both from major carriers and smaller brands.

While Trump Mobile may attract loyal fans of the former president, as a prepaid wireless service, it’s overpriced and underwhelming.
