Roland Beainy, 28, co-owner of the Texas restaurant chain Trump Burger, was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on May 16, 2025. ICE says Beainy, a Lebanese immigrant, stayed in the U.S. after his visa expired on February 12, 2024.
Beainy came to the U.S. legally in 2019 but did not leave when his visa ended. ICE arrested him because he had no valid immigration status.
On June 13, an immigration judge allowed Beainy to be released on bond while his case is ongoing. His next court hearing is set for November 18, 2025. At that time, a judge will decide if he must be deported.
Trump Burger opened in 2020 and has four locations in Texas: Houston, Kemah, Bellville, and Flatonia. The restaurant is known for its Trump-themed menu and decor, including a burger named the “Trump Tower Burger” and appearances by Trump impersonators.
Beainy owns half of the business, which is also involved in lawsuits over ownership and property.
ICE said, “We hold all individuals accountable who overstay their visas, regardless of their business or beliefs.” Beainy and Trump Burger have not commented on the arrest.
