President Donald Trump sharply criticized the Grammy Awards on Monday and threatened to sue host Trevor Noah over a joke linking him to Jeffrey Epstein. The comments came after Sunday night’s ceremony in Los Angeles.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump called the Grammys “the worst” and said the show was “virtually unwatchable.” He also mocked CBS, noting the network will lose broadcast rights when Disney takes over next year.

Trump took direct aim at Noah for a joke suggesting he and former President Bill Clinton had spent time on Epstein’s private island. Trump said the claim was false and defamatory.

“I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close,” Trump wrote. He added that he had never before been accused of visiting the island and warned Noah to “get his facts straight.”

The president said he plans to sue Noah for a large sum of money. He cited past legal settlements with major media companies and said he was ready to send his lawyers after the comedian.

During the show, Noah joked that Trump wanted Greenland and added that Epstein’s island was “gone.” After hearing gasps from the audience, Noah said it was his final year hosting the Grammys.

Noah also made several other jokes about Trump throughout the night. He referenced term limits and joked that rapper Nicki Minaj was at the White House discussing “very important issues” with the president.

Trump has previously denied visiting Epstein’s island and said he turned down an invitation. He has also said Epstein was banned from Mar-a-Lago in the mid-2000s following a dispute.
