Trump Announces 24-Hour Ceasefire Deal Between Israel and Iran

President Donald Trump said Monday that Israel and Iran have agreed to a complete ceasefire. The agreement will end what Trump called “THE 12 DAY WAR” between the two countries.

Trump made the announcement on Truth Social. He said the ceasefire will happen in phases over 24 hours. Iran will start the first 12-hour peace period, then Israel will begin its ceasefire after 12 hours.

The ceasefire was set to begin around midnight Monday, about six hours after Trump’s announcement.

Recent Military Actions

The ceasefire came after several military strikes. The United States hit three Iranian nuclear sites over the weekend using B-2 bombers. The planes dropped 14 “bunker buster” bombs on the targets.

Iran responded by firing 14 missiles at a U.S. military base in Qatar on Monday. The Al Udeid Air Base suffered minimal damage and no Americans were hurt.

Iran gave advance warning about the missile attack to both Qatar and the United States. This allowed military personnel to take cover and avoid casualties.

Signs of De-escalation

Trump thanked Iran for the early warning about their missile strike. He said this prevented loss of life at the American base.

Iran’s limited response suggested the country wanted to step back from further fighting. The advance warning was seen as a signal that Iran was ready to end the conflict.

Trump’s Statement

Trump praised both countries for ending the war quickly. He said the conflict “could have gone on for years, and destroyed the entire Middle East, but it didn’t, and never will!”

The president called for “Peace and Harmony in the Region” in his announcement. He ended his post with blessings for Israel, Iran, the Middle East, the United States, and the world.

Neither Israeli nor Iranian officials had publicly confirmed the ceasefire agreement at the time of Trump’s announcement.
