Travis Scott Shocks Tokyo Fans as Kanye West Joins Him Onstage

Kanye West & Travis Scott at Tokyo Live

Travis Scott surprised thousands of fans in Tokyo on Saturday night when Kanye West — now known as Ye — joined him on stage during his Circus Maximus tour stop at Belluna Dome. The unexpected performance marked Ye’s first major live appearance with Scott in nearly two years.

The Belluna Dome erupted as Ye stepped into the spotlight, dressed in his signature hoodie and sunglasses. Scott welcomed him as “my brother,” before the duo launched into a 10-song set that blended Ye’s biggest hits with Scott’s high-energy stage production.

Ye opened his segment with Runaway from My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, followed by crowd favorites like Heartless, Can’t Tell Me Nothing, and All of the Lights. Fans filled the dome with lights from their phones, singing along to every word.

The two artists shared the stage for nearly 45 minutes, creating a rare moment that highlighted their strong creative bond. Scott, who has often credited Ye as his mentor, told the audience, “Ye built the blueprint. This one’s for the mentors who turn dreams into reality.”

Social media buzzed before and after the show. Videos of Ye’s soundcheck and posts hinting at a “special guest” fueled speculation throughout the day. After the performance, clips of the pair performing together spread quickly across platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok.

The Tokyo concert continues Scott’s global Circus Maximus tour, which combines elaborate visuals, pyrotechnics, and live instrumentation. For Ye, the show marked a major return to the stage after years away from touring.

As the Circus Maximus tour heads to North America next month, fans are already wondering if more surprise collaborations are on the way.
