Tom Holland is set to star in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, which will begin shooting in 2025.
The movie will also feature Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, and Charlize Theron. However, the “Spider-Man” actor is still in the dark about the film’s plot.
In a recent interview on “The Dish” podcast, Holland shared that he doesn’t know much about the movie. “To be perfectly honest, I don’t really know what it’s about,” he said.
He added that Nolan gave him a “loose pitch” during their meeting, but the details are still under wraps. Holland is excited but understands that Nolan likes to keep things secret.
Holland had previously said that if Nolan offered him a role, he would accept without needing to see the script. “It was the phone call of a lifetime,” Holland said. He compared it to the call he received about playing Spider-Man ten years ago.
Anne Hathaway, who is also in the film, expressed her excitement about working with Nolan for the third time. She has appeared in “The Dark Knight Rises” and “Interstellar.” Hathaway said being invited back for a third film was emotional and felt like a special achievement.
For Holland, this film will be his first collaboration with Zendaya outside of the “Spider-Man” series. He called working with his girlfriend on set a “saving grace,” adding that it’s nice to have someone familiar to talk to during the filming process.
Nolan is both writing and directing the film, which will be released by Universal Pictures on July 17, 2026.
