The iconic red and blue Spider-Man suit worn by Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Spider-Man 3 (2007) will go up for auction on September 4, 2025. The auction, hosted by Propstore, is expected to fetch between $100,000 and $200,000, with bidding starting at $50,000.
Designed by Frontline Design under Academy Award-winning costume designer James Acheson, the suit features darker blue fabric, a streamlined muscle silhouette, slightly smaller eye lenses, and an enlarged chest emblem compared to the original Spider-Man suit.
The one-piece stretch spandex bodysuit includes integrated boots, discreet zippers, dimensional foam webbing, and a mask with a lightweight plastic helmet and swappable resin eye lenses. Some sections were restored with urethane web replicas, and the suit carries the wardrobe notation “3.S,” linking it to Spider-Man 3.
Heavily used during filming, the suit is a rare piece of cinematic history from Sam Raimi’s beloved trilogy. Spider-Man 2 grossed $784.6 million worldwide and holds a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Fans and collectors have expressed excitement, with some noting the suit could exceed its estimated value due to Spider-Man’s enduring popularity.
The auction will begin at 10 a.m. PT and will be streamed live, giving fans worldwide a chance to own a piece of superhero film history. Renewed interest in Raimi’s trilogy, boosted by Spider-Man: No Way Home and the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day in 2026, has made this costume a highly sought-after collector’s item.
