Thunderobot, a Chinese brand known for high-performance gaming laptops, has hinted at the upcoming launch of Nvidia’s RTX 50 mobile GPUs at CES 2025.

The company, which claims to have partnered with Nvidia, is preparing to unveil a new line of flagship gaming laptops featuring the latest Nvidia, Intel, and AMD technologies.

These laptops, set to debut next month, are expected to include Nvidia’s RTX 50 series, marking a major shift from previous generations.

Typically, mobile GPUs launched a few months after the desktop versions, but Thunderobot’s announcement suggests the mobile lineup could arrive at the same time as the desktop GPUs.

The new gaming laptops will also feature Intel’s Core Ultra 200 series and AMD’s Ryzen 9000 CPUs.

These processors are expected to include Intel’s Arrow Lake H/HX and AMD’s Fire Range chips, which are rumored to offer desktop-level performance, albeit with some impact on battery life.

Leaks suggest that the RTX 50 mobile GPUs might not see a significant increase in VRAM, with the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 mobile versions expected to use the same die as their predecessors.

The entry-level RTX 5050 could be priced higher, while the RTX 2050 4GB will remain Nvidia’s budget option until it is replaced by the RTX 3050 4GB.

Mainstream models like the RTX 5070 and RTX 5060 mobile are expected to stick with 8GB of memory, similar to their previous versions.

Despite the upgrades, Nvidia’s current champions for VRAM, the RTX 4090 mobile and RTX 5000 Ada mobile, are likely to maintain their lead in the next generation.
