The excitement is palpable as the finalists for this season of The Voice are revealed, but for Bryson Battle, the journey has come to a heartbreaking end. The 21-year-old singer from Harrisburg, North Carolina, who has wowed audiences all season long with his powerful vocals, fell just short of securing a spot in the finale.
Bryson, a talented performer who previously won the 2021 Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actor, has been an impressive member of John Legend’s team throughout the competition.
His heartfelt performances, including a rendition of Mariah Carey’s “Without You”, kept fans on the edge of their seats. However, it wasn’t enough to land him a spot in the Top 4.
In a dramatic twist, Bryson was given a last chance to make it to the live finale through the Instant Save vote. As the fourth contestant to take the stage, Bryson delivered an emotional performance of “Talking to the Moon” by Bruno Mars, captivating both the audience and his coach, John Legend.
Legend, who praised Bryson’s talent, urged fans to vote for him, saying, “You’re phenomenal. You’re special. America, let’s make sure Bryson is in the finale.”
Despite Bryson’s heartfelt plea and standout performance, he did not receive enough votes during the Instant Save window. Instead, Adam David from Team Bublé secured the final spot in the top five.

The live finale will air on NBC next Monday and Tuesday at 8 p.m. and will be available the following day on Peacock. It’s sure to be an exciting conclusion to this thrilling season of The Voice.
