Stray Kids have made history with their new album Hop, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
This marks their sixth album to reach the top spot, tying them with BTS, Linkin Park, and Dave Matthews Band for the most No. 1 albums by a group this century.
The album opened with 187,000 equivalent units, including 176,000 pure album sales. Stray Kids are known for their strong physical album sales, which continue to set them apart in the music industry.
What makes Stray Kids unique is that all six of their albums have debuted at No. 1. In comparison, BTS, Linkin Park, and Dave Matthews Band have had other albums chart lower on the Billboard 200.
This achievement continues Stray Kids’ streak of multiple No. 1 albums each year since 2022.
Their earlier albums Oddinary and Maxident topped the chart in 2022, while 5-Star and Rock-Star followed in 2023. Just four months ago, their Ate EP also debuted at No. 1.
Stray Kids now join an elite group of artists who dominate the Billboard 200, cementing their place as one of the most successful K-pop groups in the U.S.
