Joe Keery, best known for playing Steve Harrington in Stranger Things, has reached No. 1 on Spotify’s Global Top Songs chart with his song “End of Beginning.”

The track, released in 2022 under Keery’s music project Djo, surged in streams following the release of the Stranger Things Season 5 finale on December 31, 2025.

The song overtook Taylor Swift’s latest single, ending her 78-day run at the top of the global chart, according to Spotify data.

“End of Beginning” gained renewed attention after fans revisited Keery’s work following the emotional conclusion of the Netflix series. The song had previously gone viral on TikTok and has now reached a new peak.

Streaming activity increased sharply over the New Year weekend, pushing the track to the top position on January 2, where it has remained through the week.

The chart success highlights Keery’s growing recognition as both an actor and a musician, marking a strong start to 2026 for the artist.
