Stardew Valley Fans Excited and Anxious Over 1.7 Update

Stardew Valley

Developer Eric Barone, also known as ConcernedApe, has confirmed that Stardew Valley will receive a 1.7 update, sparking excitement and mixed feelings among the game’s fanbase.

Barone made the announcement in August at the Stardew Valley Symphony of Seasons concert, revealing that while he had initially considered ending updates after version 1.6, he had decided to release one final update. The content and release date for version 1.7 have not yet been disclosed.

The announcement comes as Barone is also working on a new game, Haunted Chocolatier. Some fans expressed impatience for the upcoming title, with discussions on social media reflecting both excitement for the update and concern that it might delay the release of his new project.

Fans on Reddit noted that while they appreciate continued support for Stardew Valley, they are eager to see Haunted Chocolatier released. Others suggested that announcing the new game early may have raised expectations for a release that could be several years away.

Despite the uncertainty, Barone has earned strong trust from the community over the years, and players remain enthusiastic about both the 1.7 update and his upcoming projects.
