Squid Game Season 3: Could The Front Man and Gi-hun Team Up to Destroy the Game?

Squid Game Season 2: Gi-hun & Front Man

The Front Man has been one of the most mysterious characters in Squid Game, but recent events suggest that he might be the next to rebel against the deadly competition.

His past actions, hidden regrets, and complex morality could push him to question his loyalty to the game’s powerful VIPs. If that happens, he could join forces with Gi-hun to bring down the system from within.

The Front Man’s Internal Struggle

In Squid Game Season 1, The Front Man was revealed to be Hwang In-ho, a former winner of the games and the missing brother of police officer Hwang Jun-ho.

His role as the masked enforcer made him seem ruthless, but subtle hints suggested that he wasn’t entirely emotionless. His biggest moment of conflict came when he shot his own brother, an act that could have left a deep scar on his conscience.

By Season 2, In-ho took an even more active role, stepping into the game to stop Gi-hun’s rebellion. However, his decision to capture Gi-hun alive instead of killing him could hint at a hidden agenda.

He may have seen something in Gi-hun that reminded him of himself, leading him to reconsider his loyalty to the VIPs.

Why The Front Man Might Rebel

The biggest reason for In-ho’s potential rebellion is his guilt over shooting his brother.

While Jun-ho’s death was never explicitly confirmed, he returned in Season 2, determined to destroy the game. If In-ho learns that his brother survived, it could be the final push that makes him switch sides.

Another factor is Gi-hun. As the only player to escape and openly vow to take down the game, Gi-hun represents everything the VIPs fear. If The Front Man has been watching Gi-hun closely, he might realize that the player’s fight is worth joining.

Additionally, The Front Man himself might feel like just another pawn in the VIPs’ game.

Despite his authority, he is still following orders, and the powerful elites might not see him as anything more than a disposable enforcer. If he realizes that he holds no real power, he might decide to strike back.

How Could The Front Man Fight Back?

If In-ho chooses to rebel, there are a few possible ways he could do it.

One option is forming an alliance with Gi-hun. In the Season 2 finale, Gi-hun was captured by The Front Man, but instead of being killed, he was taken into custody.

This could mean that In-ho has a bigger plan. By working together, they could infiltrate the system and expose its secrets from within.

Another possibility is that The Front Man’s redemption arc could see him sacrificing himself for the greater good. His backstory revealed that he once needed money for his wife’s surgery, but it was too late to save her.

If he remembers why he originally entered the game, he might finally turn against it. He could leak classified information, sabotage the infrastructure, or even confront the VIPs directly.

A Game-Changing Twist for Season 3

If The Front Man rebels, it would shift the entire story of Squid Game. Instead of just enforcing the rules, he could become one of the biggest threats to the VIPs. His potential defection would add a new layer of complexity to the series and bring it closer to an explosive conclusion.

Whether driven by guilt, justice, or revenge, The Front Man’s rebellion could be the key to finally ending the deadly game once and for all.
