In Squid Game season 2, viewers are buzzing with a new theory: Is Player 125, Min-su, actually one of the VIPs? Here’s the theory explained.
Min-su, played by Lee Da-wit (also known as Lee David), is introduced as a timid character who joins the games after being scammed.
He’s part of a group led by Thanos and Nam-gyu but doesn’t stand out much until a post-credits scene and fan theories sparked speculation about his true identity.
The theory started circulating after people noticed the actor’s name similarities between Min-su and the Deer-mask VIP from season 1.
Some fans believe Min-su might be a VIP in disguise, trying to blend in with the players. This idea gained traction from TikTok and Reddit discussions, where users pointed out his peculiar behavior and the fact that he was “saved” by the Front Man.
However, IMDb lists separate actors for Min-su and the Deer-mask VIP, and their voices and heights don’t seem to match up. Plus, Min-su is much younger than the Deer-mask VIP, which weakens the theory.
While Squid Game has played with the “fake player” twist before, such as with Il-nam and In-ho, it seems unlikely that Min-su is a VIP.
However, with Squid Game’s unpredictable twists, fans will have to wait and see if Min-su’s story takes a surprising turn in season 3.
