Many Spotify users around the world experienced problems streaming music, podcasts, and audiobooks on Tuesday morning.

The outage began shortly after 5 a.m. PT / 8 a.m. ET, according to reports collected by Downdetector.

Users took to social media to complain about being unable to play content, browse playlists, listen to radio stations, or view artist profiles. The issue affected many users across multiple countries.

By 9:40 a.m. ET, Spotify announced the problems were fixed, saying, “We’re aware of some recent issues that should be all clear now! Thanks for your patience, you rock.”

Spotify did not provide further details on what caused the outage. Meanwhile, competing services like Apple Music remained fully operational during this time.

If you had trouble using Spotify during the outage, you were not alone.
