Spotify Lets You Turn Off the Annoying ‘Create’ Button

Spotify recently added a new “Create” button to its bottom navigation bar. The button offers options like making playlists, starting a “Blend,” or creating an AI playlist. However, many users found this button unnecessary.

Now, Spotify has released an update that lets you turn off the “Create” button if you don’t want it. This option came from user feedback and is available on both Android and iOS.

To turn off the button:

1. Tap your profile picture at the top of the app.
2. Go to Settings and privacy.
3. Under Content and display, switch the Create button off or on.

Remember, this setting only applies to the device you change it on. You will need to adjust it on each device you use.

The update rolled out around July 31, 2025, and should be available for most users now.
