Highlights From the Ranking

Arijit Singh’s commanding lead
The Indian singer’s 196.54 million followers put him more than 30 million ahead of anyone else. His vast catalog of Bollywood and independent tracks has built one of the most dedicated followings on the platform.

The 100-million club
Nine artists clear the 100 million mark: Arijit Singh, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, The Weeknd, Ed Sheeran, Bad Bunny, Drake, Ariana Grande, and Eminem. Justin Bieber sits just outside at 97.61M.

Indian artists shine near the top
In addition to Arijit Singh at No. 1, A.R. Rahman (13th) and Pritam (14th) both rank inside the top 15. Several more Indian artists appear throughout the top 200, reflecting the enormous streaming power of Indian music worldwide.

Groups and legendary acts
BTS is the highest-ranked group (11th, 90.49M). Coldplay, BLACKPINK, Imagine Dragons, and Queen all make the top 25. Further down the full list, acts like The Beatles, Metallica, Pink Floyd, and ABBA show the lasting appeal of classic catalogs.

Latin music’s strong presence
Bad Bunny (6th) and Karol G (17th) lead a deep Latin contingent that runs through the entire top 200, including artists such as J Balvin, Ozuna, Maluma, Peso Pluma, and many others.

Generational range
The ranking stretches from current stars (Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter) to timeless names (Michael Jackson, Queen, Eminem) and late artists whose music continues to grow in reach (XXXTENTACION, Juice WRLD, Avicii).

Followers vs. Monthly Listeners & Streams

Spotify followers represent people who have chosen to follow an artist’s profile—a measure of long-term fan connection. This differs from monthly listeners (current active audience) or total streams. High follower counts often signal sustained popularity and cultural impact rather than just a temporary viral moment.

The Bigger Picture

The Top 200 most-followed Spotify artists illustrate how the platform has become a truly global stage. Indian music commands the summit, Latin and K-pop acts maintain massive dedicated bases, Western pop and hip-hop remain dominant forces, and classic artists continue to attract new generations of fans.
