Spider-Man: Brand New Day – Every Villain Confirmed So Far and Their Powers

Tom Holland as Spider-Man in Brand New Day

Tom Holland is officially back as Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, set to release in theaters on July 31, 2026. While filming is currently underway, fans have already spotted major villains on set — and the confirmed list is longer and more exciting than expected.

Here’s a clear look at every villain confirmed for the film so far, along with their powers:

1. The Hulk

Played by: Mark Ruffalo
Although Hulk is an Avenger, he’s clashed with Spider-Man in the comics before — usually due to mind control or misunderstandings. Hulk brings incredible strength and durability, while Spider-Man counters with speed, smarts, and agility.

2. The Punisher

Played by: Jon Bernthal
Frank Castle, the Punisher, is a brutal vigilante with military training, expert marksmanship, and a deep sense of justice — even if it means using violence. Spider-Man’s spidey sense and agility may help him avoid the worst, but this matchup will be intense. Some rumors suggest the two may even team up to fight Hulk.

3. Scorpion

Played by: Michael Mando
Scorpion (Mac Gargan) was last seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming. His mechanical suit gives him enhanced strength, agility, and a powerful stinger, often laced with venom. He may be one of the film’s top villains.

4. Tombstone

A crime boss with enhanced strength and durability, Tombstone is dangerous both physically and strategically. Once bullied for being an albino, Lonnie Lincoln became a feared figure in New York’s criminal underworld after exposure to experimental gas. He’s also fought Daredevil.

5. Tarantula

Not a real spider, but a skilled fighter who uses tactics and weapons, including razor-sharp kicks and poisons. Several versions of Tarantula exist in the comics, so it’s unclear which one will appear.

6. Boomerang

Real name: Frederick Myers
Boomerang uses flying boots and explosive boomerangs to cause chaos. He’s a recurring Spider-Man villain, known for fast-paced fights and tricky attacks — not to be confused with DC’s Captain Boomerang.

7. Ramrod

First seen in Daredevil #103, Ramrod is a half-man, half-cyborg created after a construction accident. He has super strength, metal parts, and a nearly unbreakable skull. He’s likely to be a minor villain in the movie.

Who’s the Main Villain?

It’s not clear yet who the main antagonist will be. Scorpion or Tombstone seem most likely, as both operate in organized crime and could be pulling the strings behind the scenes. For now, fans will have to wait for more official details.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is shaping up to be one of the most villain-packed Spider-Man films yet, with a mix of street-level threats and super-powered foes. Stay tuned for more updates as filming continues.
