Snoop Dogg’s recent comments about Diddy’s federal trial have been quickly dismissed by the internet, with many calling him out over past controversies of his own.
Speaking to The Shade Room, Snoop said he was surprised by the serious allegations against Diddy. He added that when given leadership, he always tried to treat people well and end working relationships on good terms. “I want to be a better boss than the ones I had,” Snoop said.
But social media users weren’t buying it.
Despite Snoop appearing to criticize Diddy, many online pointed to what they say is hypocrisy. Users brought up his past support of Donald Trump, including his performance at a pro-crypto event earlier this year, despite years of criticizing the former president.
Critics also mentioned the ongoing $107 million lawsuit against Snoop and his label, Death Row Records. A former employee claims she was never paid for her early work with the label. Snoop and his team have filed a motion to dismiss the case.
Online reactions were blunt. “Go share your thoughts with Trump,” one user commented. Another wrote, “I forgot he existed after I unfollowed him.” Others mocked him as being “media trained” and out of touch.
Meanwhile, Diddy’s trial continues to unfold. On May 30, a former assistant named “Mia” took the stand and accused him of creating a toxic work environment. She also said she had to “beg” to attend her grandmother’s funeral.
While both Diddy and Snoop face their own controversies, public opinion remains divided — and the internet is holding no punches.
