Samsung to Reveal Project Moohan XR Headset with Android XR in September

Published on

Samsung is set to unveil its first XR headset, currently called Project Moohan, on September 29, 2025, according to a new report from Korea.

The headset will be available for purchase starting October 13, launching first in South Korea before reaching other markets.

This XR headset will be the first to run Android XR, a special version of Android designed for extended reality devices.

Android XR was announced last year and developed jointly by Google and Samsung, building on their work together on Wear OS. The headset will feature Google’s Gemini AI integrated into its system.

Samsung’s XR device uses the Qualcomm XR+ Gen 2 chipset, reportedly manufactured by Samsung with a 4nm process, promising high performance.

Before the official launch, Samsung will showcase the headset again at its Unpacked event next month, alongside the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 smartphones.
