Samsung to Launch Smart Glasses to Challenge Ray-Ban Meta in 2026

Samsung is reportedly developing a new pair of smart glasses inspired by Ray-Ban Meta. The glasses are expected to include a camera, speakers, and a microphone, but they will not feature a display.

According to Seoul Economic Daily, these smart glasses are separate from Samsung’s XR headset projects, including Project Moohan. The company aims to create a more portable and affordable option for consumers, with a potential launch in late 2026.

The glasses may allow users to capture short videos, use voice commands, and listen to audio without needing separate earbuds. Samsung is reportedly betting that smart glasses could become a significant wearable device, offering unique advantages by showing the world from the wearer’s point of view.

While smart glasses remain a niche market, the popularity of Ray-Ban Meta demonstrates growing interest. Samsung’s entry could provide strong competition and complement its Galaxy devices and smart home ecosystem.
